This master bedroom makeover has been slow going, but things are finally starting to come together. Since it’s Friday and I watch too many of those shows where they leave you in suspense, I thought I would throw out a little Friday tease. I’m just giving you a little sneak peek into my master bedroom makeover. Sooooorrryyy.
I have arguably the nicest bedding I have ever owned in my life and I can’t wait to show you the whole bed. It’s stunning. In fact, I’m kinda driving hubby crazy because I don’t let him set anything on the bed. Plus, when its bedtime, I carefully fold it down and we don’t actually sleep with it. The newness may wear off after while and we actually may be able to use our bedding. But for now, I’m happy keeping it perfectly pristine.
I added a chunky jute rug and am loving the coastal feel it infused into the room immediately. It actually wasn’t on my original list of rugs I was debating but that’s not unusual for me. I like to see how the room is coming together before I make those kind of big purchases. Buying rugs can be so stressful.
I added some bedside lamps and am totally loving these. They are really made for a desk but they have been really great by the bedside because with these old eyes, reading in bed with not so stellar lighting can be frustrating. A total PSA here, these lamps are on clearance at Lowe’s right now for $23. Amazing. I bought them with the intention of spraying them oil rubbed bronze, but really am embracing the antiqued brass finish they came in.
Of course, I kept my blue and white plate wall. I love it. With the addition of the white bedding…it is even more fresh.
My French Country custom wood valances are looking so great with the addition of all these new elements in the room and the newly painted white furniture feels so fresh.
So stay tuned. The full master bedroom makeover will be coming soon. I have just a few things left to do before the big reveal.
-Gallery wall around the television
-Haul chair to reupholsterer (I give up…leave it to the professionals)
-Find small table for next to chair
Just three items and one isn’t really my doing. I can see the end of the tunnel. The finish line is in site. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can….
Have a fantastic day my fellow decor obsessed peeps.
