I recently heard the Junk Gypsies say something like my title and I thought “That’s exactly how I feel!” It seems that pom pom fringe is roaring back not only in home decor, but in fashion as well. Aren’t these pom pom fringe shorts totally cute? If I were a teenager again, I would so be wearing those in the hot summer months. How fun!

I love pom pom fringe edging curtains. I trimmed our curtains in multi-colored pom pom fringe in our previous master bedroom. It gave the striped curtains I had a more traditional and polished look. Sarah Richardson did it on the curtains below. Because she used a more modern print, it looks more modern and less traditional. If I remember this episode correctly, she actually used black pom pom fringe, even though this picture makes it look blue like the curtains. I kinda like the “off” effect it gives it. Plus, pairing navy and orange together has become a new favorite for me, shown here in the decoupage of my son’s bookcase.

I am a sucker for floral prints. I love them. But, sometimes I don’t want to commit to full on floral. This pillow created by Amy Webb, is so cute and gives the option of a touch of pom pom fringe. A pillow cover is almost disposable. Keep it for a season or two and then replace.

The monogram version is just to die for. The navy and pink with the white pom poms…be still my heart. I love this pillow. It would be the focal point of any bed pillow ensemble and would be stunning sitting by itself on a chair.

I love the large pom pom fringe on this throw blanket. I could see this draped across the end of my bed. The large pom poms give it some substance and adds some texture to the room. It would especially be great it it was paired with fabric that had a very square geometric design. The juxtaposition would be fabulous. Can you imagine sitting at football games this fall with this beauty? The envy of every mom there.

Don’t forget the reveal for my laundry room is coming up. I’ve been working hard trying to get it finished. Plus, if you like pom pom fringe, check back next week for a tutorial on how to sew an adorable tote with pom pom fringe (with a pattern).
Hope you are having a great week!
