Okay, okay, okay, I know it is officially Wednesday and Textile Tuesday implies these posts should hit on Tuesday….Just think of it as I am fashionably late to the party. We put our Christmas tree up and I dug out my cream colored tree skirt and immediately thought about the really interesting tree skirts I have been seeing on Etsy. Perhaps I need to upgrade, or, maybe I need to take on a little sewing project over the break. Regardless, today I thought I would gather up a collection of great hand-made tree skirts by very talented artists on Etsy.
This burlap tree skirt is so cute with the bows. I wouldn’t want to cover it up with presents! Okay, maybe I would 🙂

This tulle skirt is adorable. I think this would be so cute if you had little girls and wanted to do a tree in a bedroom or playroom. The tulle could be in traditional Christmas colors like the one below, or, it could be done in girly colors for a color coordinated tree.

Chevron and pom pom fringe? Yes, please! What’s not to love about this festive tree skirt?

This next tree skirt is the embodiment of rustic elegance. The burlap gives it that rust feel and the ticking stripe and monogram give it an elegant timeless feel. This could be my favorite.

How fun is this? Shag rugs are sort of popular right now among the “in” crowd. I wouldn’t want to make a commitment to a shag rug, but a shag tree skirt might be fun for a season or two.

This is an adorable depiction of a manger scene on a tree skirt. It looks hand-made which gives it so much charm.

A monogram with a Santa sleigh on a tree skirt? How fantastic! The ruffle is so cute and gives it such a great look.

All of these tree skirts are simply divine. I do love them all. Tree skirts are a great way to establish a different feel for your tree. Plus, if you procrastinate on buying and wrapping presents you won’t even feel bad because covering up a cute tree skirt would be a shame. I’ll keep telling myself that until all my gifts are purchased and wrapped. Sometimes a little fib to myself doesn’t hurt, right? Enjoy the season!
