I hope this post finds y’all doing well. It has been super busy around here. A few weeks back I saw something on Simple Details Blog that stopped me in my tracks. Have you ever been over to Pam’s blog? If not, click the link and you can see all the wonderful stuff she does in her home. Truly inspiring. However, this post is not about her blog. It’s about the chairs she found back in February off Craigslist. Seriously, I covet these chairs.
Have you ever? I could not imagine my joy if I were to find these on Craigslist. They, of course, are vintage with down cushions. I love everything about them. Which brings me to this Textile Tuesday feature, bird fabric. I have such an affinity for bird fabric. In fact, I’m going to be using this fabric by Richloom, called Egret, in my Master bedroom.
I love the shades of green, grey, blue, and white that are found in it. I decided to search the net for other great bird fabrics whether they are coastal or not. Bird pillows make such a great statement in a house and really command attention. Besides, one yard of fabric and a few minutes at the sewing machine is not much of a commitment. Here is some inspiration for you.
Isn’t this fabric odd? It is odd in a sort of cool way. I imagine this would be a fabric used in an ultra cool modern home. Maybe something mid-century modern? It could also be pulled into a more traditional room as an unexpected surprise. This fabric came from a Stockholm web site called Svenskt Tenn. They have some other really cool bird fabrics that I love.
I have the following fabric in my home right now. I made two pillows out of a yard of fabric to sit on my chairs. It pulls in all the colors in the living room nicely and always looks fresh and crisp. It is called the Phoenix Multi from Warehouse Fabrics.
Here are some other great fabrics from Warehouse Fabrics. The first is Heron Lemon Tonic.
