Beige, plain, and no storage. Not a good combination. When we moved in, our laundry room had nothing in it. Not one shelf. No hanging bar. Just one beige rectangle with some outlets and a water hook-up. Not a big deal in a laundry room, right? It’s easy to add those things. However, this house doesn’t have ANY real storage. Let me introduce you to my ONE storage closet in the house, the “linen” closet.
Small right? I have had a hard time folding bedding in a way that will even fit inside this linen closet. For some perspective, I have held up a paper towel roll. Yikes! Way too small.
There is not a coat closet or any other closets in the house (except clothing closets). What do you do with all those things that need to be stored? Batteries? Light bulbs? Sewing machine? FABRIC? Notice how that is in capitals? That’s a big deal for me.
We quickly decided we needed to add as more storage into the laundry room as possible. When this room is ready to be revealed you will see new cabinets bought right off the shelf at the local big box store, fun hardware, and a solution for coats and backpacks. Here’s the sneak peak.
I hope to have this room ready to reveal by Friday. Keep your fingers crossed that I can pull it all off by then.
Have a great week! Check back on Tuesday for a fun post about Pom Pom Fringe.
