This easy fig recipe for fall is so simple anyone can do it. Seriously, do you see me share a lot of recipes? If I can do this, anyone can.
Don’t they look so festive? Plus, you want to know the best part? They actually taste really good and they are so easy they really can’t be messed up. Figs just feel like fall to me.
These can be served by themselves, or, they can be served with goat cheese and crackers. My husband personally likes them cut up and put with turkey. I feel like figs are very underutilized.
This easy fig recipe also pairs beautifully with wine. I’m no wine expert, but I do know a dry chardonnay would be lovely with this.
Here’s the recipe…don’t get stressed out…it’s pretty challenging (just kidding).
Easy Fig Recipe for Fall
Ingredients: Figs, Real Maple Syrup, Course Kosher Salt
Step 1: Rinse figs under water
Step 2: Cut Figs in half lengthwise
Step 3: Brush with real maple syrup and sprinkle with Kosher salt
Step 4: Place on cookie sheet and roast under broiler for 6-8 minutes
So easy right? The results are delicious and really look amazing. You’ll be the talk of the town (in a good way) because they just look photo worthy.
P.S. Thank you so much for your many messages and prayers for my family as we evacuated for Hurricane Irma. We were super fortunate to have a lovely place to stay with friends and felt completely safe. We didn’t have any real damage in our home and our power was restored right away. We didn’t know this when we built our house, but we happen to be on the same power grid as our local hospital and police station so our power is always restored right away. Lucky.
Don’t forget to pin this post to remember the recipe idea!

Nancy, so glad you are back home and that everything was O.K. How lucky you are to be on the same electrical grid as the hospital! We continue to pray for all those who are in the process of cleaning up and trying to pick up the pieces of their lives and move forward — so sad. Our hearts go out to everyone.
I would love to try this fig recipe as it sounds so yummy! However, there are no figs up here in Canada!
Have a great day! Blessings!

Thank you so much Mary-Ann! I bought mine in the grocery by the berries. I can’t believe you don’t have them there. Thanks for all your well wishes friend!

I love figs and when I find some, I’m going to try your recipe. My grandmother made the best fig preserves but I never have gotten the hang of that.

Fig preserves sound divine! Of course, any excuse to eat carbs sounds good to me. LOL

Sounds delicious. I love figs. I told hubby I want to plant a fig tree this year.

I think a fig tree sounds perfect. Maybe I need to look into that. 🙂

Lovely! Here is a super simple Martha Stewart recipe I love during fig season…Toast, whatever you like, I love whole grain dark toast, on top put fresh ricotta…or any cheese you prefer…Brie is nice… then sliced figs and a drizzle of honey…so yum. and easy. New here, think I will look around awhile.
