Do you ever see rooms on Pinterest and wonder where people store all those pillows? I have a little secret and a strategy you can use to have a house filled with fun pillows for the different seasons without having to store them all in a closet. I, myself, have a little bit of a pillow addiction as evidenced below.
I know right? Just a few pillows around this house.
So, what’s the secret?
Pillow covers. I know, you might be saying…uh, Nancy, that’s so obvious. But did you know, I can store all of my pillows in one regular size plastic tub?
I only buy pillow covers (pillows without the insert in them) and use a fixed number of down stuffed inserts in the house. This way, I can change the cover whenever I feel like I need to change things up and I don’t have to store a bunch of pillows. Ain’t nobody got room for that.
Today I thought I would share with you some of my favorite pillows from my favorite online retailer…Amazon. Seriously, you can find some great pillow covers on Amazon! Who doesn’t love getting happy mail?
All of these are under $10. I compare everything to the price of a cocktail. I would rather have a great pillow cover than a Bellini. Wouldn’t you?
Affiliate links may be used, see my full disclosure here. I receive a small commission but it doesn’t raise your price at all. 🙂
Ticking | Fleur de Lis | Bird Pillow
Fleurs | Home Sweet Home | Striped Pillow Cover

Aren’t these just so pretty? I would take them all and put them all over my house. Yep, pillow addiction.
Have a fantastic day!

You are so right about using pillow covers. And I totally love the selection you’ve provided. Thanks for reminding us about the obvious. Lol… sometimes It really is hard to see the forest for the trees. I need to thin out my pillow collection and shift over to covers! So happy! ♥♥ Susie from The Chelsea Project

Susie, you gain so much room when you just use the covers. It is so worth it. If you have pillows you really love that can’t be zipped off you can always have a seamstress (if you can’t) install a zipper.

I started using covers a couple of years ago and it has helped. Still need to do a little thinning out also to get my collection under control.

Good for you Debi! I love switching them out on a whim. That’s the best part.

Thank you Shirley! I love pillow covers from Amazon. I just don’t have time to run around looking for just the right thing. Besides, it gives me something to look forward to in the mail.

Nancy, I have a pillow addiction too! A few years ago, I switched over to buying or sewing only the covers and using the inserts I had collected over the years! My husband always laughs and says “Not another pillow!!” I love pillows! They just add so much coziness to a home and when you just have to store the covers, it’s sure a lot easier. At the moment, I am sewing some Spring pillows for our dining room chairs and I am making them out of some really pretty t-towels.
Thanks, too, for listing the pillow covers you found at Amazon. I did not know that Amazon had them.
Also, Nancy, what beautiful wooden valences with the lovely scroll work you have in your living room! They are just so nice. Just love your decorating. You always do such a beautiful job of everything.
Enjoy your weekend!
Blessings!

Mary-Ann, you are so sweet to me. I so enjoy your comments. Your pillows you are sewing from towels sound lovely. You are very smart to switch over to just the covers. It saves so much space and allows you to have a pillow wardrobe. I would say my pillow cover collection is soon to surpass my shoe collection! Have a wonderful weekend.
