If you remember, a few weeks back I posted a Textile Tuesday featuring burlap wreath designs. I was so inspired by the many designs that I crafted my own burlap wreath just in time for my fall door.
It was really quite easy and only took about 15 minutes to do the whole thing. I watched this great You Tube video on how to make the wreath and I was off and running in just a few minutes.

I purchased my burlap ribbon on a 10 yard roll, wreath form, and florists wire at Wal Mart. I found the great orange and burlap chevron ribbon at Hobby Lobby on a half off sale. I found the cute pumpkin plaque at Michael’s where I bought it for 40% off. Overall, this project was very affordable coming in at less than $20 for the whole thing.
I tried to pick really easy to work with colors for fall, because while I was at Michael’s buying the pumpkin plaque I also found a great Thanksgiving one on the same sale. I didn’t attach the plaque to the wreath. Instead, because it had a hanging wire attached, I just hooked it on my wreath holder before hooking the wreath on.
After Halloween is over I plan on just changing the plaque to a cute Thanksgiving one carrying the wreath all the way through Thanksgiving. Next spring I will pull the wreath out again, change out the orange ribbon for something more springy and get more miles out of this wreath. I call that a good investment.

Really liked the wreath. Great idea to make it work for more than one holiday. It would look great with shells on it for summer too
