I love opening the mailbox and finding great catalogs inside. I carry them in and set them on the side table and dream of a quiet Saturday morning where I can sip coffee and casually look through each catalog dog-earring all my favorite pages.
I especially love when the Pottery Barn catalog arrives because I always know it is going to be filled with great room settings and inspiring decor. So last year when I spotted these pumpkin pillows I immediately knew I wanted them.
When I figured out how much two of them would cost plus shipping (because I just don’t have time to run all the way to the mall) my heart sank. I knew a Pottery Barn Knock Off was in order.
Not one to let a great idea pass me by, I decided to create my own. This is what I ended up with. Now, I know they aren’t going to pass for the real thing. But, I think they have a charm of their own.
When I pulled them out this year I thought it might be a good idea to share this project again in case you missed it the first time. It really was quite easy to accomplish and the cost was so low. Click HERE to link to the original post.
This is the picture of the front porch from last year. We had just been in the house for a few months and it looks like it. The shrubs are so small. I haven’t really focused on this area of the house yet, so most of the furnishings are the same. I’m thinking early October is going to usher in a whole new look to the front porch.
Last year I created this burlap wreath and put this cute pumpkin in the middle. I am just itchin’ to create a new look using this same wreath. I’m thinking spiders…
I hope you are getting in the fall mood and the weather where you are is beautiful.
Have a fantastic day!
