I can’t believe I’m already giving an update for the One Room Challenge. The week went SO fast.
I don’t have a ton to share about it actually because things are just starting to kick off around here. In fact, I just contacted my “tile guy” about scheduling a time for him to come out and do the tile above my vanity. The other day I asked your opinion on the tile pattern and I’ve decided to go with…
a clean white herringbone pattern above the vanity.
I thought I would share some images that are inspiring me along with some of the items I plan on purchasing to give you a little glimpse of what I am thinking.
I’m really considering one of these fun faucets. It is a little modern but I think it would be fun. After all, anything to make brushing my teeth more fun is a winner in my book. It’s the little things that make a difference in life. I’m also really digging the black.
I’m also switching gears in terms of the wallpaper ceiling. I’ve really fallen hard for stained bead board on the ceiling. I love all of the wood ceilings and planked walls but I think I want the look, just a little more refined. Here’s another one we can all admire.
I think I want this variation in color. I just love it.
My vanity is going “white”. I wish I could put dark counters on like this but I am going to have to live with the Corian that came with the house. I’m planning on doing dark hardware on my cabinets.
I ordered this knob for the bathroom and hope to switch all the knobs in the house over eventually. Like most builder grade homes I have hallow core doors but with the extra plate on this knob I believe it will give it a more substantial look.
Along with the new door hardware, I’m going to paint the door. I love painted interior doors. It’s not that hard to do and if it ever goes out of style, just paint them back white again. No big deal. Aren’t these blue doors dreamy? I’ll be painting mine Benjamin Moore Quiet Moments.
I painted the ceiling in my half finished master bedroom this color and I adore it. It is such a soothing color.
If I have any money left at the end I would love to switch out the lighting to something like this. If funds are running low I will just have to DIY my current lights until I can afford these beauties.
I hope this gives you a better picture of where I am going. Next week I hope to have a messy bathroom full of projects to show you.
Have a fantastic day!
