My Ikea coffee bar is styled, finished, and set up with some sweet rustic wood shelves. Yay!
By the way, I’m trying something new and you should have gotten only one e-mail if you are on my subscriber list. If it sent you three…sorry…still learning happening here.
If you’ve been following along, I’m so near the end on this kitchen redo. This was one of the final projects. I didn’t really plan on using a kitchen island in this space, but apparently an Ikea coffee bar was just what this kitchen needed. When I started to style it I teetered back and forth between a blue and white styling…mixing the rustic with the glam of blue and white, and styling it with a vintage neutral feel. I really love them both!
Who would have thought an Ikea coffee bar was the perfect addition to this kitchen! I literally can’t believe the change in the space just from this one little project. I took so many pictures I decided to divide them up between two different pages.
Click on each of the links below to look at the blue and white version and the vintage neutral version. Then come back to this post and vote for your favorite! I know! You can vote for the one you think is the cutest!
Sound fun?

Actually I loved both equally, wish I had room fir a coffe bar and no dudt
Thanks so much Linda! I didn’t think it would have as much impact as it has had.

The blue has more impact, so that’s my choice. I am a color person – no neutrals or all white for me!
Linda,
I agree the blue and white has more impact. They are both fun and you know how I love to change things up. Nothing ever stays the same.
Nancy
This was fun. I love the blue and white with a bit of coastal thrown in.
I agree Lauren! I love just that little bit of coastal. It makes everything more special.
Nancy
I really loved both of your displays, but blue never fails me!!
Thank you so much Cherie! I hope you have an awesome weekend. It’s almost Friday!
Nancy
I love the Blue and white – especially the blue willow and milk glass. I own several pieces of both designs just sitting in my china cabinet! Time to do something with them.
Yes Nana! Pull that blue and white and milk glass out of that china cabinet and put it on display. It will add a little bright spot to your day.

Hi Nancy…this was fun…I was certain I’d pick the Blue/White but I love the mix/match vintage look….each coffee moment will be a surprise. And I love the coffee bar. An inspiring post. Thanks!
I’m so happy you liked this idea Jeanne. It is so hard to choose one…I’m so happy I don’t have to choose.
Nancy
Nancy, love your coffee bar! It’s so nice! Love the blue and white! You will be able to add your seasonal touches, too! You do a great job of decorating!
Blessings! Enjoy your day!

I do think the blue and white is kinda special. I can hardly wait to decorate it for the upcoming seasons. It’s going to be so fun! Thanks for always following along. You’re the sweetest.
Nancy
Blue all the way! Of course the dog is just added charm!!!
Isn’t she just so cute? The crazy thing? This morning while I was checking to make sure this post went live…she walked right over to me and threw up on my oriental rug. Ugh. She’s still cute though. 🙂
Nancy
Blue and white for sure!
