In this post: Today I’m sharing my Easter Tablescape 2017. If you are looking for some inspiration for setting an Easter Tablescape, I hope you find inspiration here.
Easter is my favorite holiday. Some people love Christmas. Some people can’t wait for Halloween. Some people adore Thanksgiving.
But I love Easter for the obvious reason, Christ’s Crucifixion and Resurrection.
But also:
I love Easter dresses and little boys in bow-ties.
I love Easter Lilies and the Hallelujah Chorus.
I love Easter bunnies and eggs and candy.
I love Easter jelly beans…especially the black ones.
I love saying, He is risen! and people joyfully responding back, He is risen indeed!
And I love a good Easter tablescape.
My most memorable Easter outfit was when I was 5 years old. I still remember it so clearly.
It was a lavender dress with white polka dots and it had tulle in the skirt with bells sewn in. I also had a matching lavender spring coat with a white fur muff. How could you forget an outfit like that?
In college one year, I decided I would sew my own Easter dress. It was a peach colored empire wasted long dress with cap sleeves. I even sewed a scarf for my straw hat to match my dress. It wasn’t sewn perfectly, but I was happy to wear it. I couldn’t go home for Easter that year and I remember feeling sooo grown up.
I’m on spring break this week and will be spending one day on the hunt for the perfect Easter dress for this year. I’m kinda on a yellow kick right now, as you can tell from this Easter tablescape.
If you’ve been around this blog for a while you may remember I was searching for the perfect white dishes. I even bought a set from the list. Then I went out and bought another set (I know! That is so bad). I couldn’t help it.
I’m obsessed with collecting Milk Glass and I really needed dishes that would look great with my collection and would be user friendly. Do you know what I bought? Corelle. I know. Who would think Corelle dishes (the nearly unbreakable plate) could be set on an elegant Easter tablescape?
I love fresh flowers on any table and knew I wanted to pull in some fresh flowers but didn’t want to spend a fortune on them. I created some moss planters to help bring some greenery to the table and put a fresh hydrangea in each one. Cheap and pretty. It’s hard to complain about that. You can see how I made them HERE.
My mother-in-law found these sweet little chicks for me last Christmas. I’ve been waiting for the perfect occasion to show them off. I think they are the perfect addition to the Easter tablescape.
The little “bird’s nest” in the milk glass cups are from Joann’s. I found them in with the Easter picks. They come with a long stem which I coiled underneath. Next year I’ll use them in some other way. They even had the little faux flowers on them already.
I’ve never done the double napkin before, but thought this time it was worth it. I found the blue and white placemats and napkins at T.J. Maxx. I still saw some sets of them there the other day so you may want to check your local T.J. Maxx if blue and white is on your radar. The yellow and white gingham are from Pier 1.
I love photographing this table and will just share a few more elements from the table.
After I was finished photographing this Easter tablescape, Luke felt like we should eat a fancy lunch at it. The eggs in these photos aren’t boiled. He decided we needed to fry the eggs and have a lunch consisting of fried egg, grapes, and chicken tenders. It was a cradle to grave kind of lunch (I didn’t tell him that though). 🙂

Hi! I tried to print the spring printable from your March 25 post. It would not print on a single page. It showed up on screen requiring 3 pages, which divided the image. I love the image! Any suggestions?
Nancy says
I’ll look into that Linda. I think that might be my printable from last spring? I’ll e-mail it to you to make sure you get it. 🙂

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful memories and table. I remember many of my own Easter outfits and how I felt too! There was something extra special about choosing them each year. Your table reminds me so much of my dear mother. It looks EXACTLY like her style. I hope you have a blessed Easter and a wonderful spring. This is gorgeous!
Nancy says
Thank you Jane. I found my Easter outfit for this year and for the first time ever, I’m wearing pants. I bought a gorgeous all white outfit that has a multi colored silk blouse that goes over it and it is stunning. This year I’m going to be comfortable.

Hey Nancy! I must say that this Easter tablescape and your memories are beautiful! That Lavender Polka Dot dress must have been so pretty for you to remember every detail of your outfit! Love the blue and yellow and adore the double napkins. Seeing your cutie was the greatest ending to a beautiful post!!!
Nancy says
Thanks Shirley! I adored that little outfit. I kinda wished we would have packed it away. My mother had a pale yellow coat. We must have looked like Easter eggs. 🙂

What a beautiful table setting! I love your new napkins with your blue & white dishes. The yellow checks serve as a wonderful complement to the blue & white theme. The moss-covered flower pots are unique and lovely. I also like the Easter vignette on your desk in the background. Everything is quite attractive!
Nancy says
Thanks Carol. I just have never seen blue and white mixed on a table and not loving it. It is so classic. That little desk was just painted a few weeks back. Thanks for noticing it in the background.

Thank you so much Vanessa! That chandelier was a game changer in my space. I had so much fun working on this table and it is for sure my favorite tablescape I’ve created.

What a treasure trove of beautiful details! I enjoyed the stroll through your tablescape as I “listened” to your favorite things about Easter. I realized the other day that Easter must be my favorite holiday, too – for many of the same reasons you listed. Yes, He is risen indeed! 🙂

What is the blue and white pattern plate? I love it!
Nancy says
Hi Amber. I e-mailed you a few links. My plates are vintage but are the pattern Blue Willow made by several different manufacturers.

What a pretty tablescape! I got the tablecloth with the same pattern as your placemats at T.J.Maxx. It’s a beautiful classic pattern! The bright yellow checked napkins brought in a ray of sunshine- love it! Your son is adorable enjoying his breakfast!
Nancy says
Thanks so much Liz! Isn’t that blue and white the best? I bet your tablecloth is beautiful too.
